Raspberry Pi + RX Carbon Stations
This setup includes a Raspberry Pi MiniPC connected to an RX Carbon AIS receiver by USB cable.
After each step, remember to check your My Vesseltracker status to see if your station has come back online.
Step 1: Check Cable Connections
Ensure that the power, Ethernet, USB and antenna cables are properly and tightly connected on each end.

Step 2: Restart Device
Disconnect the power cable from the device, wait 10 seconds, and reconnect the power cable. Shutting down the device and powering it back on will return it to its normal state.

Step 3: Check Raspberry Pi LEDs
If your antenna still hasn't come back online, ensure that its LED lights are flashing correctly.

Yes | There is likely a problem with your Internet connection to the Vesseltracker.com server. You can continue troubleshooting using Step 2 of the Internet Connection Section of this guide. |
No | Your equipment may be broken. Please email a video clip of the LED lights (ideally 10-15 seconds long) to ais@vesseltracker.com so we can confirm and coordinate replacement equipment. Email us now → |
