Near miss at Fischerhütte

On Dec 27, 2017, at 1.55 p.m. the "Keit" ran into the embankment of the Kiel Canal at the ferry pt. Fischerhütte due to an unallowed use of the auto pilot, having a near miss with the local canal ferry. The ship got off again with own means and continued the eastbound voyage from Rotterdam to Klaipeda, ETA Dec 29. It berthed in the North Port of Kiel for surveys at 6 p.m. and left the port again on Dec 28 at 2.15 a.m. after a class survey. The master had to pay a safety deposit of 500 Euro, and an investigation was launched against the pilot.

The Estonian Hansa Shipping has bought the "Askö“ of Hermann Buss in Leer and renamed it "Keit" to operate it under the flag of Malta. The ship sailed from Hundested to Klaipeda on July 20, 2017.

Damaged ship underway to Gdansk

The "Askö" left the quay of the Hässelby power station Fortum Värme in Södertalje on Dec 13 at midday, after the remaining cargo of pellet was unloaded. The ship was bound to Gdansk for repairs of the grounding damage, ETA Dec 15, 9 a.m.
