I'm just boat obsessed really. I was a sea scout, had family boating holidays on the Norfolk Broads and the River Shannon, read all of Arthur Ransome, crewed on a replica Scandinavian Post Yacht on the Baltic, looked after kids at sailing camps, and now, in my autumn years, I have lived on a narrowboat on the English inland waterways for eight years :-).
