Tanker sank tug
The "Shun Sheng" was in collision with the tug "Koi 3", which was towing the sand barge "Koi 5" on Feb 7, 2019, at 5 a.m. in the Singapore Strait in pos. 01-09.9 N 103-41.41 E west of Senang island. The tug capsized, and of the crew of six on board four were rescued, two others, Dodi Maulana and Budi Setiyono, went missing. An SAR operation was under way with at least two ships and the speedboats "MPA 3", "MPA 4" and "MPA 6" as well as the SAR-ship "Purwerejo 101" and a boat of the Riau Silands Regional police, ocoordinated by the Singapore MRCC. The tanker was transiting the Singapore Strait en route from Hong Kong to Lumut, Malaysia and didn’t stop after the collision.
