Lighter of Fu Quan Shan capsized off Chittagong

The lighter vessel "Mihran" with 1,850 tonnes of cement clinker capsized off Chittagong 20 kilometres south of Sandwip as cracks developed to its hull on the way to Narayanganj from Chittagong in the morning of June 16, 2016. The "Mihran" had loaded the clinker from the "Fu Quan Shan" at the outer anchorage of Chittagong Port and was heading for Shah Cement Ghat at NarayanganAll 13 crew members were rescued by the staff of two other lighter vessels crossing the area.
