Shrimper disabled off Den Helder
On Sep 26, 2016, at 03:30 a.m. the KNRM Den Helder was alerted after the "Simon Albert - WR 80" was disabled after a net fouled its propeller. The ship was in a difficult position east of the Malzwin behind the mussel plots which were almost invisible in the dark, but fortunately could be seen on the radar. Cautiously the shrimper was taken in tow and brought to the auction quay of the fishing port in Den Helder. At 05:30 a.m the liefeboat was back on station. In the afternoon the propeller of the "Simon Albert" was cleared from the obstruction. Dutch report with photos: https://www.knrm.nl/nieuws/knrm-reddingstation-den-helder/net-in-de-schroef
