Allision in Merak

On June 23, 2020, at 5.40 a.m. the KMP 'Musthika Kencana' and the KMP 'Wira Berlian' were in collision at Pier 2 of Merak Port. The 'Musthika Kencana' was hit by the 'Wira Berlian', which was about to dock at Pier 3, during cargo operations. The 'Musthika Kencana' suffered damage at port side when the stern of the other ferry hit. One window and the interior of the ship was damaged. Ship back in service after allision

The "Wire Berlian", which had allided with a side of a dock at Bakauheni after a sea trial on June 17 and had arrived at Tanjum Gerem on June 18, sailed from the port on July 6, and resumed the service between Bakauheni and Merak.

Allision in Bakahheni Port

The KMP "Wira Berlian" crashed into dock V of Bakauheni Port while carrying out a sea trial on the Merak - Bakauheni route on June 17, 2019, at 2.45 p.m.. The ferry had sailed from Merak Port at 11:45 a.m. to the Bakauheni Port. Such a trial must be carried out for new vessels that will operate on the Bakauheni-Merak route. The ship hit the landing bridge while backing in with its starboard side stern and caused some damage. Also the stern was affected.
