Tanker attacked off Bonny
The 'Nefeli II' was attacked in the Gulf of Guinea on Nov 4, 2020, at 5.55 a.m. in pos. 2° 44′ 58.29″ N, 6° 3′ 6.653″ E about 94 nautical miles South-West of Brass in Nigeria and 54 n.miles from the offshore Agbami Terminal. The tanker was en route from Lagos to Douala. It stopped and went adrift. The crew, consisting of Russian, Georgian and Ukrainian nationalities, managed to hide in the citadel when the pirates boarded. They looted the ship and fled. Other vessels in the vicinity are urged to remain subject to a heightened risk profile.
