12 missing after collision of fishing vessel and bulkcarrier

The "Vahty" collided with the fishing vessel "Zhe Daiyu 2611" of the Zhejing Fisheries on March 12, 2019, around 1 a.m. east of the Yangtze estuary in the Yellow Sea. The fishing vessel sank, of the 14 fishermen on board, two were rescued. An SAR operation was launched for the other 12. The bulkcarrier was en route from Port Headland to Caofeidian.

NYK Line Sells Ore Carrier Gaia Pegasus

Japan’s shipping major Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK Line) has reached an agreement to sell its 2004-built Ore Carrier Gaia Pegasus to a Greek shipowner, according to data provided by VesselsValue. The 229,200 dwt Capesize vessel was purchased by Samos Steamship for a price of USD 12.7 million.
