Ziton Charters New O&M Vessel
Danish company Ziton has added Vroon jack-up MPI Enterprise to its fleet under a bareboat charter agreement.The vessel has been chartered on a bareboat agreement with Vroon as of 28 May 2019 until 31 March 2021.
Allision in Bremerhaven
On Sep 29, 2016, at 4.10 p.m. the German dredger "Hegemann 4“ (IMO-No.: 8121044), was in allision with the "MPI Enterprise", which was berthed at the Strom Quay in Bremerhaven. The dredger was working off the quay when it slammed into the foreship of the jack up vessel with its stern which suffered a breach of 30 centimeters length in the hull. The ship was detained for repairs. The dredger suffered damage at the superstructure and a railing and was able to continue working in the meantime. The police investigated against the captain of the dredger.
MPI Enterprise completes first charter on E.ON's Amrumbank West Offshore Wind Farm
MPI Offshore's wind-turbine-installation vessel MPI Enterprise has completed its first charter under MPI ownership, the company said in its press release. Following the company’s successful acquisition of MPI Enterprise earlier this year, the vessel has now completed works on E.ON’s Amrumbank West Offshore Wind Farm. MPI Enterprise and her experienced crew have acted as installation vessel, in conjunction with the E.ON Contractor Per Aarslef. Following these preparatory tasks, WTG installation will be undertaken by another of MPI’s WTIVs, MPI Adventure. The Amrumbank West Offshore Wind Farm is situated approximately 35 km north of Helgoland and 37 km west of Amrum in the German Exclusive Economic Zone of the North Sea. When fully operational later this year, Amrumbank West will have an annual capacity of 288 megawatts, enough to power 300,000 households. Source: en.portnews.ru
