Collision off Brake

Enroute Bremen-Emden the "Arion" was in collision with an f/v on the Weser off Brake in the evening of Nov 26, 2012. The accident happened near Kirchhammelwarden when the cargo ship veered off course in western direction and hit the f/v. Ist fishing net at starboard side was torn off and submerged in the river. The damage to the ship was about 25000 Euro. The "Arion" suffered damage at port side. The "Arion" was advised to anchor at 6:50 p.m. on Blexen Roads where an Investigation was carried out by the policeboat "Visura". At 8.50 p.m. the ship continued to Emden where it docked at the Ems Quay on Nov 27 at 11.20 a.m., where the Polish master had to pay a safety deposit of 223,50 Euro.
