Man falls to death while working on ship in Galveston
A worker fell to his death Thursday while working on a ship moored in Galveston, authorities said. Police were withholding the name of the worker, an employee of Malin International Ship repair, said police spokesman Sgt. Joshua Shirard with the Galveston Police Department. The man was working on the cable laying ship Western Monarch at an undisclosed time in the morning on a ladder about 30 feet above the deck, Shirard said. He lost his balance and fell, striking his head on an I-beam, Shirard said. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Malin is conducting its own investigation into the cause of the fall. Shirard said that so far police do not suspect foul play. http://www.chron.com/neighborhood/bayarea/news/article/Man-falls-to-death-while-working-on-ship-in-5966422.php
