Lifeboat saved man and recovered fishing vessel

uOn May 30 the "Wencke" suffered a gearbox failure off Pellworm and alerted the MRCC in Bremen. The lifeboat "Eiswette" of the local DGzRS station was tasked to assist. The salvage was, however, delayed, after a worker got in distress in the port basin of Pellworm. He had tried to recover goods which had fallen into the water when being transferred from a ferry to a car on the shore, and jhe had jumped behind. When he drifted off, the MRCC was alerted again, and the lifeboat first speeded to save the man's life. Only 10 minutes later the workboat "Novize" of the lifeboat was launched and pulled him on board. After he was dropped off in the port of Pellworm for medical treatment, the "Eiswette" continued to the "Wencke" only 20 minutes after the initial call. The fishing vessel was safely towed to Pellworm with the rising tide.
