Wan Hai 313 on maiden call at Zhuhai for direct liner service to Japan

ZHUHAI International Container Terminals (Gaolan), a member of the Hutchison Port Holdings (HPH) Group, has welcomed the inaugural call of Wan Hai Lines' MV Wan Hai 313 on the first direct liner service from Zhuhai to Japan. The New Super 3 (NS3) service provides a direct gateway for those exporting cargo through ZICT(G) to the Kanto and Kansai areas of Japan. Terminal general manager Ronald Wan said the terminal creates a logistics solution for shippers in the western Pearl River Delta and surrounding regions. "Wan Hai Lines' NS3 service allows cargo to ship from Zhuhai to Japan directly. Customers can also import goods directly from Singapore and Malaysia to Zhuhai."

Wan Hai Lines is about to boost its Straits – Japan ‘New Super 3′ service (#905) with the addition of four ports and the deployment of an additional vessel to maintain to weekly frequency of the service, despite the extended turnaround time. Sailing from Tokyo on 23 July, the 2,646 teu WAN HAI 313 will make inaugural calls at Osaka on 27 July, Keelung on 30 July, Pasir Gudang on 8 August and Singapore on 11 August.
