Waves smashed bridge windows
AThe "VOS Iona" was forced to turn back to safety in gale force winds after bridge windows were smashed by a wave on Jan 17, 2014, at 2 a.m. The vessel was 65 miles south east of Sumburgh with 15 people on board when the incident happened at 2am, causing damage to some electrics and communications on the vessel. She was able to turn around and head back to Lerwick, where she arrived at 9.30 a.m. There were no injuries.
