Vroon takes Delivery of VOS Glory
We are pleased to announce that earlier today, Wednesday 28 January, we took delivery of VOS Glory at Fujian Shipbuilding Trading in Fuzhou, China. VOS Glory is a 60m ERRV-FSV (emergency response and rescue vessel/field-support vessel) and the second in a series of four such FSVs being built at the Shipyard for Vroon. The vessels feature a revolutionary, wave-piercing bow shape. The remaining two vessels will be delivered to the company over the next few months. The company has ordered a total of 22 offshore-support vessels at Fujian Southeast, with delivery between 2014 and 2016. In a ceremony held at the Shipyard last November, VOS Glory was christened by Mrs Carina Doggen, partner of Mr Rudy Snouwaert, who is Operational Accounting Supervisor at Vroon Ship Management B.V. and has been a Vroon employee since 1978. VOS Glory will be heading for the North Sea, where she will be managed by Vroon Offshore Services Aberdeen. We wish the vessel and her crews safe and successful voyages. Source: Vroon
