Grounding off Fårö Sound

The "Scano - VK 190" ran aground in the while coming from Västervik on Feb 4, 20915. The Swedish coastguard dispatched the patrol boat "KBV 047" to assist, but the ship later managet to back off the shial with own power. The Coast Guard checked the rudder and propeller and made sure there was no oil spill. On behalf of the police they interviewed the crew in order to investigate the cause of the accident. Police have launched a preliminary investigation. In the morning of Feb 5 the "Scano" left the Fårö Sound under its own power.
