Ferry damaged in allision

Wed Jan 06 10:51:09 CET 2016 Timsen

In the morning of Jan 5, 2016, the "Vindilis", 1299 gt (IMO: 9165566), buffeted by rough seas and strong wind while sailing between Belle-Ile-en-Mer and Quiberon, struck the wharf at Port Maria, Quiberon. The allision caused a gap of a few centimeters in the bow of the ship. About 11 a.m. the ferry sailed to Belle-Ile without passengers and vehicles. The "Bangor" took over the service of the "Vindilis" which moored at the dolphins in the port of Pallais. The maritime authorities have decided to send the ship to Concarneau for repairs.
