Ferry got rope in propeller

On Nov 28, 2024,, the "Vetlefjord" got its propulsion fouled by a rope in the propeller and had to cancel the sailings between Dyrøy and Øyrekken. After the obstruction was removed, the ferry was set to depart again at 7:30 p.m. from Sula. A normal departure was expected at 8 p.m. from Dyrøy.

Ferry under repair in Trondheim

The 'Vetlefjord' has been docked in Trondheim since Dec 19, 2020, after one propeller shaft was damaged after a rope got caught in it, while it was sailing in position 63 52 43N, 008 33 55.8E, between Sula and Dyroy at 10.30 a.m. Tugs were not required as the vessel diverted to Selfa in Trondheim with own engine for damage assessment and repairs. The ship remained stationary as of Jan 8, 2021.

Ferry fouled by rope

On Apr 1, 2019, the "Vetlefjord" got its propulsion fouled by a rope in the propeller and had to cancel the sailings between Dyrøy, Mausundvær amd Sula in the afternoon until further notice, the shipping company FosenNamsos Sjø reported at 5 p.m. An NSSR-lifeboat had towed the ferry to port.
