Bulk carrier stuck in ice

Fri Dec 30 19:06:13 CET 2022 Timsen

The USCG 'Neah Bay' along with the CG Cutter 'Samuel Risley' conducted a dual escort on the Frontenac, Livingstone Channel after the 'Menomonee' ((IMO: 5336351) was beset by ice in the morning of Dec 28, 2022. The ship got stuck while making its way up the Detroit River near the southern tip of Boblo Island. The ship was underway again on Dec 29 at about 11 a.m. The incident also prevented three other vessels, which were behind the stuck ship, from moving along the river until the ship was freed.
