Dangerous goods container was leaking

In the evening of Dec 9, 2011, a container with dangerous goods was damaged aboard the "MSC Ulsan" in rough seas while the ship was underway to Hamburg. Several containers were losened by wave impact, and one of them torn open. The crew was able to get the 120 litres of dangerous fluids secured. The fire rescue was on scene when the ship entered the port but found the situation under control. The damaged container was removed in a special containment.

Costamare invests $30 million on the 4,100-TEU MSC Ulsan which is attached to a 63-month charter at $16,500 a day, reports London's Tradewinds journal.
