Trawler assisted by lifeboat
In the evening of Nov 30, 2017, the "Grietje Gertruida - ARM 14" suffered hydraulic problems while fishing off Breskens. It was impossible to recover the fishing gear, and other systems also failed. The ship was still maneverable and therefore headed for the port of Breskens. But the skipper called the lifeboat "Zeemanshoop" because he was unable to dock his ship with these problems. When the vessel was almost in Breskens, the skipper called the lifeboat crew through the internal PreCom system at 7.45 p.m. The Zeemanshoop" was already waiting for fishing vessel in the harbor estuary. It pushed it to the quayside, and a little later, the ship was safely moored.
