Shrimper aground off Ouddorp
On Oct 30, 2017, at 10:22 a.m. the KNRM lifeboat "Koopmansdank" was alerted after the "Jacoba Aleida - UK 266" ran aground off Ouddorp. Also the lifeboat "Veronica", temporarily stationed at Ouddorp, was deployed to assist. After several failed attempts by the fishing vessel "Pieter van Aris - TX 21" (MMSI: 244100829), the "Koopmansdank" and later the lifeboat "Antoinette" to get the trawler out of the pounding surf, the tug "Sil-Jeske-B", 239 gt (IMO: 9769245) was called from Stellendam. After a towing connection was established to the tug,the lifeboats went back to their stations. At 9.45 p.m. the shrimper was pulled off by the tug with the rising tide and towed to Stellendam. She docked in Harlingen on Nov 3 and left the again after repairs on Nov 5 around midnight and headed to the fishing port of Büsum, arriving there on Nov 10.
