Cog disabled by rudder damage
On Aug 9, 2016, around 4.30 p.m. the MRCC Bremen was notfified about a rudder damage of the "Ubena von Bremen" two miles NE of Heiligenhafen. The crew of the lifeboats "Bremen" and the "Heiligenhafen" were tasked with the assistance for the cog. The "Heiligenhafen" managed to establish a towing connection despite rough seas and winds of 6-7 Beaufort and pulled the ship to calmer waters where the towind wire was transferred onto the "Bremen". Both lifeboats took the wooden ship safely into the port of Heiligenhafen.
