Passenger ship ran aground

The "Tromsø" ran aground south of the Tromsø Bridge on Oct 29, 2024, at 5 p.m., en route from Nord-Lenangenon a sandy bottom near Nova in Tromsdalen. A gust of wind had caught the vessel, and thus it ended up on an unmarked sandbar with a list to port side. The ship was refloated again with own after a short time. At 9 p.m., it docked at the Imes quay. and was checked. There were only crew on board. The police was on the scene. 

Ferry in danger of sinking

The "Fjord Vision" started to list at the quay in Fardal between Leikanger and Sogndal on Oct 25, 2015. The water ingress was remarked at 4 p.m. The water level inside was already 1,5 meters. The fire department kept the ship afloat with two pumps with a capacity of 30 cubic meters per hour for three hours, and laid out oil booms. Between ten and 15 firefighters from the Sogn fire rescue and the police were involved in the operation.
