Ferry service interrupted due to technical trouble

Ferry service on the route Langevåg-Buavåg was canceled for 2,5 hours i nthe morning of Aug 22, 2019, due totechnical problems of the "Utstein". Operator Norled announced a delay in ferry traffic 06.40 a.m. The ferry returned to normal operation after troubleshooting at 9 a.m.

Engine trouble off Langevåg

The "Utstein" suffered engine trouble in the morning of Sep 20, 2017, and had to drop anchor off Langevåg on Bømlo. The error was found and fixed relatively quickly. Divers were sent down to ensure the hull had not suffered damage. Ferry assisted disabled shrimper

On May 14, 2016, around 6 p.m. the "Utstein" assisted a disabled fishing vessel which was threatened to drift aground in strong NW wind. The "Utstein", serving the route Langevåg-Buavåg, managed to connect to the 30 ft-ship off Langevåg and towed it to a jetty in Hovlandhagen.
