Dutch sailing ship saved German yachtie
In the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, the "Tres Hombres" saved a German who had drifted for two weeks around in his sailboat. He had sent out a distress call, but was not initially found. The "Tres Hombres" had radio contact with the man at the time when the search was about to be stopped. It turned out that the yacht had drifted for two weeks with a broken rudder. The exhausted man was rescued on Boxing Day. His yacht was taken in tow.
TRES HOMBRES
On June 11, 2010, the "Tres Hombres" was in collision with the flat bottom s/y "Texel 11" on the Mars deep during a race. The schooner was unable to avoid a collision with the "TX 11" and ran into the ship which had to return to port.
