Tonsberg responded to boat in distress off Indonesia

The "Tonsberg" was among the two commercial vessels which responded to appeals from the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) and helped a boat requesting assistance near Tanjung Layar, Indonesia on July 10, 2012. Also the "Natalie Schulte" responded to requests for aid. They answered to a broadcast to shipping put out by AMSA at around 10 a.m.

Worlds largest roro ship to arrive in Australia first time

Just two months after Wallenius Wilhelmsen Logistics took delivery of the world’s largest ro-ro, the vessel is to appear in Australian waters for the first time. The giant ro-ro vessel Tonsberg is soon to arrive in Australia. Tonsberg, the first of the Mark V generation ships, is expected to arrive in Auckland, New Zealand, on June 26, before appearing in Australia around June 30, with stops at Brisbane, Port Kembla, Melbourne and Fremantle.
