Wife of Malta president names Wilhelmsen's new Titania in Malta

Mon Mar 12 08:35:42 CET 2012 arnekiel

Margaret Abela, wife of Malta's president, named Wilh. Wilhelmsen's new roll-on roll-ff vessel, the Titania at the Valletta Waterfront in Malta. Titania is a 227.8-meter car and truck carrier, built at Daewoo Shipbuilding and Engineering. The 7,800 unit car carrier flies the Maltese flag and is managed by Wilhelmsen Ship Management in Kuala Lumpur. The Wilh. Wilhelmsen Group will take delivery of seven additional vessels in 2012. The Titania is the fifth Wilhelmsen-owned ship to sail under the Maltese flag following the establishment of a local subsidiary in 2008. With more than 5,800 ships listed in the country's register, Malta is classified as the largest register in Europe by the Paris MoU.
