Conveyoer belt caught fire
A conveyor belt caught fire while loading barley onto the 'Thalassini' in the port of Bristol, UK, in the evening of March 28, 2020. The ship was berthed at the Royal Portbury Dock. The fire was tackled by crews from Temple as well as Avonmouth, Pill and Portishead. Also the Avon Fire and Rescue Service and Svitzer tug crews attended. On-board firefighters and tugs tackled the fire inin a multi-agency approach to the incident.There were no casualties and ignition is thought to be accidental. A pieco of equipment had got alight. the shp had arrived from Ravenna on March 7 at 6.20 p.m. and was bound to Port Said.
