Altona ran aground
The "Altona“ ran aground on the Elbe underway from Blankenese to Neuenfelde on Aug 11, 2012, at 3.30 p.m. and was high and dry at low tide. Most of the 30 passengers spent the afternoon aboard the grounded ship, only four of them, among them a girl of four years, were taken ashore by a boat of the German Lifesaving Society DLRG, before the ship was refloated at 81.5 p.m. The ship moored at the HADAG-pier then.
