Alfa Dragon aground off Brač
In the morning of Nov 18, 2011, the "Alfa Dragon" ran aground in the Splitska Vrata Strait between the islands Šolta and Brač in Croatia. She was bound for Split from Porto Empedocle. The ship was carrying 3,150 tonnes of salt. The ship developed a list of four degrees to the starboard. There were 14 crew members on board. The authorities laid out oil booms as a precaution.
