Ferry rescued migrants

The crew of the "Tarifa Jet", while crossing between Tarifa and Tangier,rescued seven migrants of sub-Saharan origin, in the Estrecho Strait while trying to reach the Spanish coast aboard an inflatable boat in the morning of Oct 8, 2013. The Rescue Coordination Centre in Tarifa was alerted at 9 a.m. and immediately, triggered a search in which the "Salvamar Alkaid" and the Helimer 211 helicopter participated, but before reaching the scene the ferry crew spotted and rescued the migrants.
