40 sport fishers assisted by two lifeboats

The DGzRS lifeboats "Nis Randers" and "Heiligenhafen" assisted the "Tanja" in the morning of Nov 18, 2018. The ship had been disabled with 43 persons on board, among them 40 sport fishers and a crew of three. The "Nis Randers" had left its station in Maasholm at 9 a.m. enroute to Sassnitz when a distress call of the "Tanja" was received which was adrift two miles est of the lighthouse Flügge. The small lifeboat "Heiligenhafen" was first on scene and towed the casualty towards the port of Heiligenhafen. Off the port the stronger "Nis Randers" took over and pulled the cutter safely to the quay. Medevac off Fehmarn

On Mar 28, 2013, the "Tanja" requested the assistance of the lifeboat "Vormann Jantzen" off Fehmarn after a passenger had fallen and suffered injuries. The lifeboat which was on patrol off the Island headed for the vessel which was off Westermarkelsdorf and medevaced the woman in winds of four bf. She was medically treated on board and delivered to an ambulance in Heiligenhafen.
