Propeller fouled by rope

During the unmooring manoever i the port of Mytilene on the afternoon of Dec 15, 2024, a rope got caught in the starboard propeller of the 'Talos' and was cut off. A check was carried out by a diving team, but it was not possible to remove all the sections of the rope from the shaft. The Port Authority of Mytilene prohibited the departure of theship until the presentation of a seaworthiness certificate. The the ship set sail for a single voyage to the port of Keratsini with 20 crew members, 24 vehicles and four drivers on board.

Ship diverted due to unsafe conditions

On the evening of Sep 21, 2024, the Port Authority of Naxos was informed by the Master of the ‘Talos’ that it is deemed unsafe to approach the port due to adverse weather conditions that prevailed in the area and continued its route to the port of Paros. On the ship, 16 people were waiting to disembark, who were disembarked at the port of Naxos when the ship returned from the port of Paros, while 17 people boarded.

Engine trouble in Saronic Gulf

The "Talos" suffered a starboard engine fuel system failure in lat 37 37.69N, long 23 45.94E, on March 19, 2018, at 6.15 p.m. She wa en route from Drapetzona to Paros, Kos and Rhodes with 16 crew members, 12 passengers and 43 vehicles on board in the Saronic Gulf The vessel proceeded to Drapetzona for inspection and repairs. The vessel was banned from sailing by the port authority until the engine damage was repaired and a certificate of seaworthiness was issued.On March 20 the ferry was underway 12 nautical miles from Sifnos Island again.
