Grounded bulkcarrier refloated
On July 19, 2018, the "Ikan Kerapu" has been successfully refloated with assistance of the two tugs "Protector" (IMO: 6504228) and "Orion" (IMO: 9679775) and anchored west off Irbe Lighthouse for further inspections in pos. 57° 45.14' N 021° 32.02' E. The ship had run aground on July 15 after having encountered engine problems. Bulkcarrier aground in the Gulf of Riga
The "Ikan Kerapu" ran aground on July 15, 2018, at 6 a.m. in the Irbe Strait of the Gulf of Riga. The ship was en route from Riga, where it had sailed on July 14 at 11 p.m., bound to Taranto, ETA July 28. O July 17 it was still stuck in pos. 57° 45.64' N 021° 43.42' E.
