Ferry sank motor yacht

The "Sylvarnes" allided with the Fugleskjærs Quay in Florø in the afternoon of June 25, 2015, around 4 p.m. due to a steering failure while trying to berth. It smashed a motor yacht which sank with the stern within a Minute, while the bow was still showing above the water. There were no people aboard when the ferry struck. Two other boats suffered slight damage. None of the 12 passengers and three crew members of the ferry were injured. There were two cars on board. The speed boat suffered scratches and dents. Its captain was drug tested with negative result.
