Grounding during rescue operation
The police boat "Sylt" on Sep 2, 2011, at 10 p.m. ran aground at the northern tip of Amrum during the evacuation of the grounded "Adler IV", which was undertaken jointly with the "Japsand", "Vormann Leis" and "Horst Heiner Knepen". This mishap enforced the stop of the operation for this day due to the very low tide. The "Sylt" after being free again proceeded to Wyk where she berthed in the early morning of Sep 3.
