Grounding on the Don

The 'Svyatogor' ran aground in vicinity 47 35 11 N, 41 11 12 E on the River Don near Konstantinovskaya on Sep 18. 2022, at 9.40 p.m. The vessel was carrying a cargo of wheat. The tug 'Priboy' was sent to assist. Ship traffic on the Don was not blocked. In the early morning of Sep 19, the vessel refloated independently and continued its passage to Rostov-on-Don.

Accidential death on board regarded as suspicious

The "Svyatogor" requested medical assistance for a 37-year old Ukrainian crew member in the morning of Oct 4, 2016, east of Rhodes. The patient was medevaced by helicopter and transported to Rhodes Hospital, where he was declared dead. As the circumstances of the reported accident raised suspicions, the vessel was directed to Rhodesand anchored off the port for investigations. It was en route from Mersin Turkey to Rostov-on-Don.

5,000-ton Russian cargo ship docks at Iranian port

A 5,000-ton Russian cargo ship has docked at the northern Iranian port of Astara in the Caspian Sea, in what has been the first such event in history of the Iranian port.
