At Taganrog port the 'Knyaz Vladimir' got out of control while proceeding to its berth, and struck the berthed cargo m/v 'Rusisch 6' on July 7, 2021, at 11.30 a.m., Moscow time. The hull of the berthed vessel was breached in the cargo holds area at port side. The extent of damages was under assessment, and an investigation was launched. Grounding on Azov-Don Sea Channel

The "Knyaz Vladimir" ran aground on Sep 14, 2016, while transiting the Azov-Don Sea Channel near the buoys 26-27 . The accident happened after reducing speed to pass the oncoming tanker "Kapitan Salnikov". The vessel was pushed aground by a wind gust. It was refloated with the help of a tug early in the morning of Sep 15, and resumed sailing.
