Anchor damaged bow
On June 19, 2024, at noon, the Port Authority of Mykonos was informed by the master of the 'Supercat Jet', that after the berthing of the ship in the port, serving the scheduled route from Paros to Ios, Thira, Paros, Mykonos and back with 320 passengers on board, due to the adverse weather conditions and strong waves, the ship's anchor came into contact with the starboard side bow, resulting in damage. An emergency inspection was immediately carried out by the Local Ship Inspection Unit and following this, the Mykonos Port Authority banned the ferry from sailing until the presentation of a certificate of seaworthiness by the monitoring classification society. The passengers were forwarded to their destination with the care of the owner company.
Ferry suffered mechanical damage
The 'Supercat Jet' suffered a mechanical damage in the afternoon of june 16, 2022, while operating the scheduled route from the port of Rafina to the ports of Tinos - Mykonos - Naxos - Paros, with 327 passengers on board. The ship sailed to the port of Parikia Paros, where after presenting a certificate from the classification society that monitors the ship, the ferry was permitted an individual voyage to the port of Rafina with intermediate stops at the ports of Naxos and Mykonos.
Ferry suffered breakdown
The "Supercat" suffered a mechanical breakdown in the morning of Sep 6, 2019, with 170 passengers enroute from the port of Piraeus to Milos-Folegandros-Thira-Io-Naxos and Mykonos. The passengers of the ship were forwarded to their destinations by the ferries "Superjet", "Adamantios Korais" and "Dionysios Solomos". The "Supercat" was temporarily banned from sailing until the damage was repaired and a class survey carried out.
