Ferry sidelined due to technical trouble
Both the "Bastø III" and the "Bastø IV" had to be sidelined on Dec 17, 2015, due to trouble, the first in Horten and the latter in Moss. The disruption was causing more than an hour waiting time on both sides of the Oslo Fjord as the route was only operated by three ferries. The "Bastø III" had an allision with the quay in Horten and sustained hull damage so that the ship had to remain berthed for surveys and repairs. The "Bastø IV" suffered technical trouble. Departures from Moss at 12:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. and from Horten at 1.15 p.m. were cancelled. It was unclear when the ferries would return to service. The "Bastø V" took over the sailings of the "Bastø III" for the time being.
Ferry suffered technical trouble
On Apr 10, 2015, the "Bastø IV" suffered technical trouble and its sailings were cancelled until further notice. The ship was sidelined on Horten. Drivers had to expect longer waiting times on the Horten-Moss run with less ferries operating accordingly.
Passengers stuck due to low tide
Passengers were stuck on the Bastø IV" which sailed from Moss on Mar 8, 2013, at 7 a.m. after the ferry reached Horten. At 8:15 they were advised that due to the low tide the cars on the lower deck could not leave. Work was on to move the ferry to another berth, but this was blocked by another ferry. As a result of the problems with the low tide Bastø Fosen cancelled two ferry crossings in the morning.
