Mosco fired warning shots on freighter in Black Sea

According too the Ministry of Defense in Moscow, the crew of the Russian warship 'Vassily Bykov' stopped the 'Sukru Okan' on Aug 13, 2023, in the Black Sea with warning shots. The ship had not responded to requests to inspect the cargo. A boarding team was dropped off by helicopter, which searched the ship wihout results, and it continued on its way to Ismaijl. So far there has been no confirmation of the incident from Turkey or any other party. Video: https://twitter.com/i/status/1690824074484699136

Allision in Tulcea

On July 10, 2016, around 11 a.m. the "Sahin Kaya" lost control in the port of Tulcea and allided with the moored paddle steamer “Republica”, which is classified as an object of national heritage. The ship went off the fairway, and in spite of all maneuvers to stop including an emergency anchoring manoever the current of the Danube pushed the ship against the starboard side of the “Republic” which suffered a broken bollards and hull damage. As the ropes also broke, the ship moved and the gangway was damaged too. A team of officers of the Zonal Captaincy Tulcea and the Office of Transport Police began investigating the causes that led to the accident. The “Sahin Kaya” dropped anchor at river mile 39 before continue its voyage with the assistance of a tug of the Lower Danube River Administration.
