Vessel taken in tow after engine failure
The "Stig Halle" on Jan 6, 2012, needed the assistance of the lifeboats "Uni" and "Erik Bye" after having suffered engine failure off Verrabotn in the Trondheim Fjord at 12.50 p.m. Winds were blowing with 16 -17 metres per second at that time. The "Erik Bye" reached the casualty at 5.40 p.m. after assisting an f/v with engine failure and towed the vessel, which until then had been pulled by the "Uni", to a quay in Trondheim, assisted by the "Uni".
