Over the course of Nov 30, 2024, and Dec 30, the two U.S. Navy destroyers USS 'Stockdale' and USS 'O'Kane' shot down half a dozen Houthi-launched munitions while escorting the 'Stena Impeccable', the container m/v 'Maersk Saratoga' and the bulk carrier 'Liberty Grace'. through the Gulf of Aden. Stena Bulk christens next IMOIIMAX

Fri Jun 30 08:39:02 CEST 2017 arnekiel

The »Stena Impeccable«, the latest IMOIIMAX tanker to be delivered, has been named in Rotterdam. The »Stena Impeccableq was built at the Chinese shipyard GSI (Guangzhou Shipbuilding International) like all the 13 IMOIIMAX tankers ordered by Stena Bulk – both delivered and under construction. The vessel is wholly owned by Stena Bulk, operated by Stena Weco and sails in the company’s global logistics system, which currently employs around 60 vessels. Six of the 13 IMOIIMAX tankers are wholly owned by Stena Bulk, four together with GAR (Golden Agri Resources), two by Stena Bulk’s sister company Concordia Maritime and one in a partnership with Weco. Ten tankers have so far been delivered and the remaining three will be delivered by 2018.

Next newbuilding for Stena Bulk delivered

Fri Mar 10 19:20:27 CET 2017 arnekiel

The tanker »Stena Impeccable« has been delivered to Stena Bulk. It is the 10th in a series of 13 newbuildings of the IMOIIMAX series. The chemical and product tanker was built at the Chinese shipyard Guangzhou Shipbuilding International (GSI). The »Stena Impeccable« has a length of 183 m, a beam of 32 m and about 50,000 dwt. The tanker, which is wholly owned by Stena Bulk, will be operated by Stena Weco and will sail in the company’s logistics system, which currently employs more than 60 vessels. According to Stena Bulk IMOIIMAX is a further development of an already well-established concept. The innovative technical design was developed by Stena Teknik together with the shipyard GSI. This MR tanker is characterised by extra large cargo flexibility, a high level of safety and low fuel consumption, i.e. 10 to 20 % lower than that of equivalent vessels when sailing at service speed the shipping company stated. In this years January the »Stena Immaculata«, the 9th vessels of this series, has been delivered.http://www.hansa-online.de/next-newbuilding-for-stena-bulk-delivered/?p=59356
