Medevac in Rotterdam

On Apr 15, 2016, the KNRM Radio Medical Service advised the medevac of a heart Patient from the "Stel Label". The fishing boat with three crewmembers alerted the Coastguard Centre Den Helder at 9:40 a.m. after a fisherman showed symptoms that could indicate heart problems. The ship was heading for the Maas estuary approaching the 2nd Maasvlakte. At 10.20 a.m. the KNRM lifeboat "Jeanine Parqui" rendezvoused with the fishing boat in position 51⁰59.3 N 03⁰57.6 E. Three crewmembers were transferred on board to assess the situation of the 67-year-old man, who had spent a day fishing with his son. It was decided to bring the man to shore at the Berghaven. Upon arrival, an ambulance was ready on the quay and personnel of the rescue station in Heijde was on scene. The man has been examined in the ambulance and provided with medication.
