Windstar Returns to Asia with 7 Sailings from September 2018 to April 2019
Windstar Cruises’ second season for the 212-passenger Star Legend kicks off in the fall of 2018 in Asia after her inaugural Alaska season this summer. The return to Asia for Windstar in 2018/19 will bring four new cruises, as well as the recurrence of four of the company’s most popular cruises from its 2017/18 season sailing in the region for a total of 27 sailings for travelers to choose from. Windstar has increased departures for Japan cruises timed with its famous cherry blossom season and fall foliage. New Asia itineraries include a comprehensive exploration of greater China; an Asian “pop culture” journey from Tokyo to South Korea and Beijing; a Thailand and Malaysia cruise big on beaches and big cities; and a new itinerary discovering Indonesia, including magical Bali.
Windstar Cruises to return to Alaska in 2018
Windstar Cruises is to sail four new cruise tours in Alaska in May 2018, returning to the region for the first time in 20 years. To be offered on the 212-guest Star Legend, the cruise tours will enable passengers to spend up to 20 days exploring Alaska by land and sea. Highlights will include kayaking, exploring glaciers with experienced glaciologists and marine biologists, and onboard lectures from Windstar’s expeditions experts.
Windstar’s Star Legend Earns Perfect Health Inspection Score
Windstar Cruises’ Star Legend earned a perfect score of 100 on a recent routine United States Public Health (USPH) inspection conducted by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Star Legend’s U.S.P.H. inspection took place on December 16, 2016, during the yacht’s first call to San Juan, Puerto Rico at the beginning of the yacht’s Caribbean season.
