Ship with 80 passengers disabled on the Schlei
In the afternoon of Apr 12, 2017, the "Stadt Kappeln" suffered an engine failure on the Schlei. The lifeboat "Nis Randers" was called from the DGzRS station Maasholm and launched its daughter boat "Onkel Willi", which took the vessel with 80 passengers on board in tow. During the tow the crew managed to restart the engine off Rabelholm, and the "Stadt Kappeln" was able to berth in Kappeln with own power.
