Collision in the Black Sea

The Antigua-flagged cargo m/v “Lady Gul” (IMO:9195731), being enroute from Istanbul to Constanta, was in collision with the “St. Catrien” on its way from Constanta to Samsun, nine miles south of Cape Kaliakra Cape in Northeastern Bulgaria in the night of Mar 8, 2013. Both ships were damaged and proceeded to Varna anchorage where they were to undergo more inspections. No injuries, no spills reported. The Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications launched an investigation into the cause of the collision and was in contact with the Maritime Rescue Center in this regard.
