Sun Jan 07 16:23:32 CET 2024 Timsen

The 'Elijah' suffered an engine malfunction off the coast of Gökçeada while traveling from Lome to Russia on Jan 6, 2024. Under the coordination of the Çanakkale VTS Center, the tug 'Kurtarma 14' ( IMO: 9913585) was tasked to assist and towed the ship to Bozcaada Anchorage, where it was safely moored for repairs. Ship arrested for illegal anchoring

Sun Oct 04 15:14:51 CEST 2015 Timsen

The "Formosa 16", being moored on Kukup Anchorage 2,2 miles southwest of Tanjung Piai, was arrested by Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) on Oct 2, 2015, for illegal anchorage in Malaysian waters. The vessel wasn’t able to present any papers permitting Malaysia waters enter and anchorage, no dues were paid. Two crew members, presumably the master being one of them, were taken ashore to the police station. If found guilty, the perpetrator would be facing fine of up to $22300, or two years prison, or both.
